Natural Vs. Chemical Pest Control
US
THEM
Botanical and Mineral Ingredients
Our proprietary NatureLine™ products are safer and more effective in your home. Many of them are made from food-grade materials. You can rest assured your pets, children, plants, and wildlife will be safer than when other companies deploy harsh chemicals.
Potentially Dangerous
Chemical treatments are toxic. They can be dangerous to your family, pets and the environment. If applied incorrectly, they can harm plants in your yard and contaminate ground water.
Pleasant Scent
All of the botanical and mineral products we use are natural and smell great.
Dangerous Fumes
Chemical treatments can release dangerous fumes that can be harmful to humans and animals. Some treatments require your home or business to be vacated, sometimes for multiple days.
Nature’s Own Solutions
Our mineral ingredients are mined from the ground—salt, boric acid, diatomaceous earth. Our botanical ingredients are derived from plants and trees—cloves, wintergreen, lemon grass. These ingredients combine to become effective pesticides and fungicides that naturally kill insects and fungus. For example: diatomaceous earth breaks down the waxy layer on an insect’s exoskeleton causing fatal dehydration.
Selective Resistance
If insects are exposed to the same chemical over a period of time, they can build up a resistance. For example, DDT and Chlordane were effective insecticides in their day, but the target insects have overcome the insecticide effects. This has happened with several chemical products over the years, and now is true with another commonly used product called Fipronil. This is in the chemical used in Termidor, commonly used by other pest control companies.
Permanent Protection
Our borate treatment never breaks down. That’s why we can confidently offer an unlimited service warranty. This gives you permanent protection for termites, wood beetles, carpenter ants, and wood-destroying fungus.
Short Life
Most chemicals that treat wood destroyers have a short life-span and can be highly toxic. This is especially the case with tenting and rodding treatments for termites.
Safe Water
Our botanical oil and mineral ingredients already exist in the world around us. They don’t pose any ground water contamination problems.
Ground Contamination
Many chemicals use petroleum as a carrier. These products, if not applied carefully, can cause ground water contamination.
No Special Precautions
In most cases, you do not need to leave your home when we are applying our products. They are safer and more effective than potentially dangerous chemicals.
Special Precautions
When using chemicals, you may need to leave your home for hours, even days.
